BP starts new Whiting Coker

BP has started up a new coking unit at its Whiting, Indiana refinery.  The 102,000 barrel-per-day coker began the start-up process earlier this week and will ramp up heavy oil consumption over a three-month period.  This is the final step in the revamp of the plant so it can run about 85% heavy Canadian crude.
